Editorial policy
Brilliant Arts Review aims to make thoughtful writing about art clear, accurate and independent. We distinguish interpretation from verifiable detail and make the basis of our claims as plain as the subject allows.
Accuracy and interpretation
We check factual details against suitable sources before publication and take care with names, dates, terminology and attributions. Interpretations are presented as readings rather than settled facts. When a claim is uncertain or accounts differ, we say so rather than smoothing away the uncertainty.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are kept separate from commercial arrangements. Any paid, gifted or partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can tell its nature. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage or control over independent editorial judgement.
Corrections
If you notice an error, contact us through the Contact page with the article title and the detail in question. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the text and make the correction clear to readers.
Images and illustrations
Images are chosen to support the subject and are not presented as evidence for claims they cannot establish. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when they are, they are labelled. We do not use an illustrative image to imply that it documents a real event or artwork.
